Heavy as hell

Are the lids to my eyes

Like gravity pulls the rains

From the skies

I breathe in

To fill my lungs with air

Like natures wind

I dare to compare

Blood pulses

Through my weary veins

Like the grass flows

Across meadows and plains

I set my head down

Wanting no more surprises

Mimicking what the sun does

When the moon rises

Angel

Maybe they could not catch us

If we make a break for it now

My angel

And leave their world behind

We could live in that castle

That lay on my nightstand

Let the wind carry us

I drink your promises

You've healed me

I can almost see you

If we could just leave

And be together

The stars spell out your name

I traced your outline on the wall last night, angel

Time beats slower

Excreting lonliness

Angst

Someday...

Everything can be yours

This castle

The moon

The stars

The rain

The roses lay in puddles on my floor

Someday...

We'll have a garden

My angel

With roses just as red

And we won't have to cry anymore

And the distance will be nothing

Only a breath will be between us

Someday...

If I could cast a spell

I'd send you to hell

To be in fashion

I wish I could wear my passion

Clothed in cinders and fire

I'd wear ignited attire

A walking torch or a walking flame

Under the heat of wanted fame

And with my molten tie

I'd give you a hug and hope you die

Too hot to freeze

Too cold to melt

I hate the deck

That my cards dealt

The rabbit wanted to lose

He threw the race

Because he knows

The worst is first place

Hell has clouds

And heaven has sparks

An angel howls

And a demon harks

Grass is blue

And the sky is green

A volcanic scene

Can seem serene

Peace is a hawk

And war is a dove

That's how life seems

With an absence of love

Turn the book

Open the page

You're on center curtain

Just open the stage

The moon is too hot

The sun is too cold

Nothing's as worthless

As a heart of gold

How does it feel

To have your mouth in your foot

Just like dust turns to ashes

and soot turns to soot

How about you wink both eyes

and blink just one

After you do that

Then the undo-able is undone

If death is fun

And life brings fear

Then you are the one

I wish

Rage was a medium

So I could paint

Paint a picture of what I feel

If I could show you

My anger without making a move

Except the simple strokes of the brush

The bottle of my emotions

Would be seen as art

Instead of an act of retaliation

Instead of a temper-tantrum

I can't even fathom

In these paintings

A lot of black might be

A lot of red you might see

But you would see art

Not the violence in me
